Skills4Nuclear organises first project webinar

On 20 May 2026, Skills4Nuclear organised its first webinar, focusing on the work conducted within the project’s Work Package 2 (European Forum for Nuclear Workforce & Skills). The webinar specifically explored the outcomes of the workforce assessment analysis carried out as part of the Work Package, and presenters highlighted how this analysis can inform future guidelines on conducting national workforce assessments.

Skills4Nuclear holds second plenary meeting

On 27 and 28 April 2026, Skills4Nuclear project partners gathered in Brussels for the project’s second plenary meeting. The meeting, chaired by project coordinator Teodora Retegan Vollmer (Chalmers University of Technology) allowed to discuss the implementation of the various Work Packages activities, and to pave the way for future developments for the project.

About Project

The SkillsNuclear projects will develop a long-term collaborative tramework to address skills and workforce shortages across the nuclear sector, both fission & fusion.

It will bring together partners from industry and research as well as education & training (E&T) organisations. Over the next three years S4N will

  • Create a European Forum for Nuclear Workforce and Skills to monitor workforce needs
  • Ensure alignment between E&T and the needs of the industry (including the latest technology developments)
  • Develop a Nuclear Skills Strategy to attract, retain, reskill and upskill workers
